Bougainvillea Silk Ikat

Dain’s newest silk masterpiece is now available. The elaborate ikat design was inspired by the Bougainvillea plant in our greenhouse. Dain had to build a special frame to wind the warp, and do the tying to get the precision he wanted. Warp ikat with a weft ikat centerpiece; this fine, drapey cloth feels amazing when worn as a scarf or shawl. Wrap yourself in this luxurious handwoven silk textile, hot off the warpzone loom. The last picture shows the tying process before the warp went into the brown dye.
