This project was a new experiment for us. The warp was wound and very loosely woven (1 pick every 3-5 inches), then removed from the loom and laid on tables. We silkscreened the warp, then put it back on the loom. The loose weaving was then unwoven and the actual weaving begun. The result has a slight movement akin to ikat, and a graphic boldness. Woven with organic cotton and very fine tussar silk.
